Words of Welcome

Welcome Ralph Müller-Schallenberg
Landesjagdverband Nordrhein-Westfalen e.V.

Ralph Müller-Schallenberg President of Landesjagdverband Nordrhein-Westfalen e.V

Welcome to JAGD & HUND 2019!

The State Hunting Association of North Rhine Westphalia is one of the supporting organisations of this largest hunting exhibition of Europe.

With the new WILD FOOD FESTIVAL, we put a clear focus on wild game meat, one of the many high-quality products of hunting. Join me in looking forward to culinary delights from domestic hunting grounds in Hall 1 (the Westfalenhalle event arena)!

Join and also be a member of the State Hunting Association! In Hall 6, we will inform you about our work and our successes. In 2019, we await the enactment of the improved State Hunting Act. We hunters have fought hard over many years for that.

It is now all the more important that we further strengthen our new important role in society. Our continued joint and unlimited commitment will be needed for that.

I therefore ask you, dear readers, to also tell your relatives and acquaintances about your passion! Use your visit to the JAGD & HUND 2019 exhibition as an opportunity to explain what appeals to you about hunting!

I wish the visitors to “JAGD & HUND 2019” many interesting talks and nice exhibition days, the exhibitors very good sales and the organisers a successful exhibition.

Ralph Müller-Schallenberg
President of the State Hunting Association of North Rhine Westphalia

Welcome Karl Walch
Jagdgebrauchshundverband e. V.

Karl Walch
President of JGHV

A sincere welcome to all visitors and exhibitors of this year’s JAGD & HUND in Dortmund!

Regarding the number of exhibitors and visitors, JAGD & HUND is truly the largest European hunting and fishing exhibition. The success of JAGD & HUND more than justifies the decision of having established such an exhibition.

Apart from the variety of exhibitors, conceptual sponsors such as the Regional Hunting Association of North Rhine-Westphalia, the Fishing Association and the Hunting Dog Association represent their activities with their own booths and action stages.

For associations and organisations, the exhibition is active public relations work. There is no other place where visitors have the opportunity to get that much expert advice and diverse information. Moreover, the associations and organisations contribute to the precious and intensive protection of species, biotopes and animals.

On several action stages, the Jagdgebrauchshundverband e. V. (JGHV), the German Hunting Dog Association, and its connected breeding associations will present their breeds of hunting dogs bred and grown in Germany. They will demonstrate the basic principles of hunting dog training and report on the fields of application of each breed. You can get your own idea of the performance level of hunting dog breeding and collect information on those breeds which are most important for you.

The increasing interest from abroad clearly shows that German hunting dogs have an impeccable international reputation. In times of an increasingly difficult political climate, the JGHV continues to face the challenge of standing up for target-oriented hunting dog training and breeding thus laying the foundation for best hunting practice. This is the only way to meet the legal provisions for suitable hunting dogs for any kind of hunting together with the associated breeding and examination organisations.

So welcome to Dortmund! May all exhibitors have very good sales results and all visitors have a pleasant and exciting time on this year’s JAGD & HUND.

Karl Walch
President of the Hunting Dog Association (JGHV)
